09/11/2009 : Memories from Taj about Michael
On his Twitter page, TAJ wrote some texts about his uncle, Michael. Have a look:

One of the most important lessons I learned from my uncle Michael... "True" Charity. He taught us(my brothers & I) at a young age that it's not "True" charity if you announce it to everyone saying "hey look what I did". "True" charity is when you do something for someone or give money or time to something and nobody else knows you did it. That was one of the 1st things our uncle reminded us about when we started having success with 3T. Be charitable and give back. Use your success and fame for good. Visit children hospitals. Give yourself to the less fortunate. Make your music count for something. My uncle was truly amazing. Not only did he do all of these things and more. We learned best by his example. There will NEVER be a purer soul than my uncle Michael. People put him through hell here on earth, but now he is finally free in heaven. I miss him so much.

30/10/2009 : Jackie and Tito @Oprah Winfrey Show

Jackie and Tito Jackson were interviewed by Oprah Winfrey just after the release of "This is it" in theatres all over the world.

"It's wonderful just to see him onstage and do his thing. He's a great performer," Jackie Jackson says. "There are some bittersweet parts, and it's very, very emotional for me to watch him, at times, onstage because it's a great loss not just for the family but for the whole world. Michael was an incredible guy, and I just miss him dearly."

Jackie says this film embodies Michael's legacy of determination, passion and love. "It shows people how great Michael was as a performer and as a singer, and they get a chance to see him at his best," he says. "Let's not forget Michael was a great humanitarian. He strived for world peace; he was a great father. He gave a lot to a lot of charities around the world. He was just a great individual."

Michael's brother Tito attended the first part of the premiere, but says he couldn't bring himself to watch the film. "I got to the doors to the theater, and I couldn't go in. It was just too soon for me," he says. "We have quite a few family members it was difficult for, such as my mom and my sisters Janet, Rebbie and LaToya, as well as my brother Randy. It was a little early for them as well."

Tito says he's slowly coming to terms with Michael's death. "It's been very difficult at times. Waking up in the morning, it's the first thing on your mind. Going to sleep at night, it's the last thing on your mind," he says. "I look to the stars in the sky and speak with my brother. It's just a tremendous loss for the family, and I don't think it's anything I can cope with immediately."

Still, Tito says he'd like to see the film eventually. "I would want to view it soon just to feel the happiness and the love," he says.

Three family members who are ready to see the film are Michael's children, Prince, Paris and Blanket. "They're going to have a private screening for themselves at home," Jackie says. "They want to see it."

When it comes to the “This Is It” documentary slated to hit theaters on October 28, La Toya said Michael Jackson would not be pleased with the final product being put on display.

"Do you think he would’ve wanted this released?" Access asked her.

"You know what, that’s a very, very, very good question", La Toya said.

"Truthfully, my opinion is... no. Michael always wants to give his best. This is a rehearsal. He wasn’t giving his all. He loves to give his all always. That’s just the way he is. He wants people to see him at the top of the ladder and not half-stepping because he doesn’t want to do a full-out rehearsal."

Nevertheless, La Toya said she would still give her full support to the film

01/10/2009 : MOBO: Jermaine and Latoya paid tribute to Michael
JERMAINE Jackson performed a tribute to his brother Michael at the Mobo awards last night - after talking of his family's duty to keep Jacko's music alive.

Jermaine, who performed Smile, and sister La Toya were both at the awards show in Glasgow.

Jermaine said: "My brother was everything to me. He was a wonderful artist and a wonderful human being. I'm here to do what I can, it is part of our responsibility as a family to continue his legacy and keep it alive. It's a very special night but it's still very tough. Just to be here at the Mobo awards is for my brother and to keep the music going."

La Toya revealed she had broken down during rehearsals for the tribute, which saw her introduce Jermaine onstage. "It is a very, very special night. I thought it would be wonderful to have a tribute to my brother. I thought I'd be OK but at the rehearsal for the tribute earlier today, I started crying. The pain doesn't go away, it's a bittersweet evening. I'm so touched by it - it's a wonderful tribute. He was such an extraordinary talent. Michael was a wonderful person and a wonderful human being. I want the world to know how extraordinary he was."

La Toya got a standing ovation as she took the stage to accept the lifetime achievement on behalf of Michael. She said: "There will never be another performer like my brother. There will never be another star like my brother."

Then it was the turn of singer Shaheen Jafargholi who got one of the biggest cheers of the night when he led a tribute to Michael with I'll Be There. Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity followed with dance routine incorporating Jacko songs such as Bad, Black Or White and Billie Jean.

Then Jermaine joined La Toya, tenderly singing Smile as images of their brother were beamed on the screens.

Jermaine was delighted with how fans reacted to the moving tribute to his brother. Later, he said: "Tonight was incredible. It was very emotional. It's tough because we are still mourning. Michael did so much for music as well as being an incredible person."

30/09/2009 : Jermaine's interview to Entertainement Tonight

ET's own Kevin Frazier was with Jermaine at a Hollywood photo shoot for his upcoming A&E reality series (and possible album cover), just days after brothers Marlon, Tito and Jackie posed without him in New York. Jermaine's image will be Photoshopped in with them for the final picture.

Back in New York, Marlon told Kevin, "[Jermaine's] in California. He's got pink eye. But when I see him he's gonna have a black eye!" A short time later, Jermaine was seen with Marie Osmond at the premiere of "Dancing with the Stars."

In response to Marlon's joke, Jermaine says, "They know that it had to be a real reason for me not to be there, because we've had thousands of picture sessions together all our lives. … I was exhausted. My eyes were so bad. It wasn't pink eye, but it was something that was just so irritated my eyes [were] red and just really awful."

"I had been traveling so much and I had been getting two hours of sleep and my eyes were just not right," he continues. "I was taking antibiotics. So I said I might as well just try to do mine out west."

The family's upcoming series, planned before brother Michael Jackson's death, and Jermaine's efforts to produce a now-cancelled tribute to Michael has the media questioning the Jackson family's motives, and that angers Jermaine, especially when they say that they're cashing in on Michael's death.

"That is absurd," says Jermaine. "That is the most ridiculous thing ever. It is not about cashing in on what has happened. It is responsibility on all of our parts as brothers and sisters to keep his legacy alive.

"I would love to see something done in my brother's honor every year, because he was that well respected around the globe," he continues. "So for the media to say this is absurd. It is stupid. It is crazy. Because we want the world to know we have created this as the Jackson 5 -- that was the foundation of Michael's success, of Janet's success, of everybody's. How are we cashing in on something that we created?"

Jermaine now plans to hold that first tribute next year in London. But there is more speculation that his brothers and sisters are not involved and there is infighting within the Jackson family.

"We are all brothers and sisters, but at the same time I don't have to tell them every time I am going to move," responds Jermaine. "I wish that they would move too and do creative things too. I would support them just as well. Who said I have to get an okay to do something for my brother? It is crazy."

Tomorrow on ET, tune in for new revelations from our Jermaine Jackson exclusive!

24/09/2009 : Jackie, Tito and Marlon: exclusive E.T. interview about Michael
Kevin Frazier, E.T. reporter, interviewed the Jackson brothers, as MJBackstage already reported. Here more details about the interview.

"It's hard for me to sleep because I think about him constantly, all the time," Jackie Jackson exclusively tells Kevin Frazier. "Sometimes I wake up with tears in my eyes because he meant so much to the world and also to me as a brother. I just miss him dearly, so much and I just can't believe he is not here."

Entertainment Tonight was with three of the Jackson brothers as they assembled for a happy moment -- a photo shoot for their upcoming A&E reality series and a possible album cover. But behind it all, Marlon, Tito and Jackie share sadness. The last time they saw Michael was at their parents' 60th anniversary party, just weeks before he died.

"I asked him, 'How's it going?' And he said, 'It's going to be incredible,'" says Jackie about his brother's This is it concerts. "He couldn't wait for us to see the show. He wouldn't tell us anything about it. He just wanted us to see it from our own eyes."

"I told him that I loved him and he told me that he loved me more," says Tito. "We gave each other a hug and that whole thing. So, I was very happy that I had the opportunity to see him at that moment. And that's the last time I saw my brother."

"What's comforting for me is that I think he is at a better place for himself," says Marlon. "And a piece of him will live forever within me. So, that's my peace."

11/09/2009 : Jermaine move the TRIBUTE to the king

Jermaine and World Awards Media are moving THE TRIBUTE in Memory Of Michael Jackson to London. The tribute concert originally planned for September 26, 2009 in Vienna in front of Schoenbrunn Palace will now be held in June 2010 at Wembley Stadium, London. All ticket holders will receive a refund for the tickets that they have purchased for the Vienna concert.

"Many artists and performers who I have spoken to personally told me that it would be a great honor to be part of this memorial concert for my late brother – an artist who influenced the music world like virtually no other. However, due to the short time frame it was not possible for many of them to change their schedule so that they could be on stage in Vienna on September 26, therefore we decided, after careful consideration, to change the date of the tribute concert to June 2010" said Jermaine Jackson.

25/08/2009 : Jacksons reality show to be air next month ???
A reality show about the Jackson brothers is set to air on U.S. TV next month. Earlier this year U.S. network A&E filmed Jermaine, Jackie, Tito, Marlon and Randy Jackson recording a new album for a documentary that was scheduled to be aired in 2010.

The brothers planned to recruit Michael to film a reunion performance for the one-hour pilot but they didn't manage to persuade him to participate before his untimely death in June.

But producers are going forward with the show, which will air in September , and reportedly plan to include a reference to Michael's death at the end of the programme.

Danny O'Donovan, who managed the Jackson brothers since they left Motown in the late 1970s, negotiated the deal with A&E bosses, who hope to air the footage as a series in half-hour or hour-long sessions.

24/08/2009 : Taj testified friday in Los Angeles

On August 21 Taj tesitfied during a court hearing as the family battles with AEG and over Michael's estate to determine the details of his legacy, which include a tour of his memorabilia.
Taj began his testimony stating, "I love my uncle so much and I want to do right by him." He testified that Michael had a memorabilia section at Neverland and he wanted to create something bigger out of it. He also said he thought Michael felt the rehearsal footage was "Michael's" because he was very protective of his image. "We were very close to my uncle. He was a genius obviously."

To show the depth of their connection, Taj said that as children he and his siblings loved Transformers toys. "He got the idea for 'Moonwalk' from that, he told us."Taj said he never attended any of the "This is It" rehearsals because "we always wanted to be surprised." He said he thought that his uncle would have been very protective of the footage shot at those rehearsals.

Taj also said he worked for his uncle for the last year of his life, doing "whatever he wanted me to help him with." He said the singer did not trust many people.

Taj tells OK! it hasn’t been easy going, as the setting brings back tough memories.
“Last time I was in a courtroom it was for my mom’s murder case so I just don’t like courtrooms,” Taj tells OK!. “It was tough up there.”
Taj's mother Delores “Dee Dee” Martes-Jackson died in 1994 after drowning in a pool. In 2000, L.A. businessman Donald Bohana, who was dating her at the time, was convicted of second-degree murder in her death.

According to TMZ, Taj told reporters outside of court that the family is more interested in protecting Michael's legacy than in making money. He also told Taj that he planned to do film after the London tour.

The judge on Friday firmly approved a deal between Michael Jackson's estate and AEG to exhibit the King of Pop's memorabilia, praising the arrangement that the singer's mother had fought in court over her concerns that it could harm the singer's legacy and wasn't competitively bid.

MICHAEL JACKSON's brother TITO is considering desperate measures to re-ignite the JACKSON 5 - he has reportedly asked to join his former publicist on the road in a tribute to the band.

After realising brother Michael won't be featuring his siblings as part of his upcoming shows at the 02 Arena in London, Tito is looking to get the show on the road by himself - and he's up for joining ex-advisor Arthur Phoenix in his Jackson 5 tribute group, The Dancing MAChine Revue.

Phoenix, who worked as Tito's assistant for almost five years and still maintains close ties to the Jackson family, says, "He wanted to be a part of shows we have coming up this year and it was all a go and then he backed out, fearing that the (Jackson) family would criticise him. But it's still on his mind.

"We would love to have Tito or Jermaine (Jackson) make an appearance from time to time. It would be great." But a return to the road might be a step down for Tito Jackson - The Dancing MAChine Revue plays at state fairs and casino events 40 times a year. The tribute act has just returned from a show in Bucharest, Romania.

18/05/2009 : The Jacksons Deny Any Involvement with AllGood Entertainment
The Jacksons Deny Any Involvement With Planned Jackson 5 Reunion Show in Texas With Brother Michael & Sister Janet

Beverly Hills, CA, May 15, 2009 — In an official statement issued today The Jacksons (Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy Jackson) have denied they were in any way involved with a proposed Jackson 5 reunion concert in Texas on July 3rd claimed this week by New Jersey concert promoters AllGood Entertainment.

According to The Jackson’s manager, Danny O’Donovan, the original members of the Jackson 5, and younger brother, Randy, who later joined Michael and his older brothers performing as The Jacksons, were never approached about participating in the purported Texas concert event with Michael and sister, Janet.

The Jacksons have said they will support Michael in fighting any legal action brought by AllGood Entertainment with regard to the promoter’s claim about a July 3rd concert in Texas Stadium. O’Donovan said “There is absolutely no merit in this claim, and we had no knowledge of any contract with anyone, for a so-called family tour reunion. In fact, The Jacksons were never even approached about it and no offer was ever made to them.”

All of the Jackson brothers are thrilled that Michael is returning to the live stage this summer and are totally in support of his historic 50 concert run at London’s O2 Arena. They eagerly look forward to seeing and enjoying his “This Is It!” concert event.

05/05/2009 : Jermaine Jackson visitis orphans in Malaisia
The orphans of Asrama Damai Anak-Anak Yatim Kuang in Rawang, Selangor, had a celebrity visitor recently in the form of Jermaine Jackson.

During his visit, Jackson, who was accompanied by his wife Halima Rashid and the central committee of OrphanCARE, a newly-established non-profit organisation aimed at being the transit centre for orphans and abandoned children before their adoption, spent a few hours chatting heartily with the children.

The children were excited to meet the affable pop star and his wife.

“I love children and I come from a big family myself. There are eight of us – six boys and two girls,” the proud father of seven said.

“It’s the children’s joy and innocence that always moves me. They are pure and real,” he said.

Describing his charity work as God’s work, Jackson, who converted to Islam in 1989, said he wanted to be the best that he could be. "It’s our way of giving back to society," said Jermaine Jackson, slamming critics who think celebrity do-gooders like him are out to get free publicity.

“It’s not a publicity stunt. I personally do not need publicity from the children. I just want to put a smile on their face,” said Jermaine.

18/02/2009 : Marlon Jackson to Make Slavery Theme Park?
The idea of Marlon Jackson building a Jackson Five museum in a slavery theme park in Nigeria doesn't sound real. And yet, the U.K.'s Guardian claims it is so.

Developers have announced a $3.4 billion luxury resort featuring concert halls, golf courses, casinos, a five-star hotel and the aforementioned museum as part of the Badagry Historical Resort near the former slave port, the newspaper says. The group behind it says it hopes to attract 1.4 million visitors the first year, no doubt drawn by the planned lifesize slave ship replica, holograms of the Jackson Five and animatronic versions of 18th century musicians.

"The Jackson family had been looking for a place to site their memorabilia collection," said Gary Loster, chief executive of the Motherland Group, which is in part supported by Marlon. "We visited the site of the slave port in Badagry and Marlon turned to me and said: 'Let's put it here, this is right.'"

Other highlights include; "a lifesize replica of a slave ship, holograms of the Jackson Five and robot versions of 18th-century African musicians."
